Remote GeoSystems new MISB FMV geoDVR module allows for the direct recording of video with MISB compliant metadata from certain airborne gyro-stabilized gimbal camera systems. Using the geoDVR to record MISB-compatible FMV (Full Motion Video) files, users have the ability to log the GPS location of the moving target where the camera is looking on the ground as well as the aircraft location.
Post-flight, if the MISB FMV includes proper metadata, our LineVision Desktop software will calculate and show a dynamic “footprint” with the 4 corners of the video frame moving on the map. This capability provides analysts and subject matter experts a more accurate location of asset conditions or situational awareness on the ground.
This additional geoDVR capability provides commercial and defense operators with a COTS geospatial DVR system for capturing multi-camera video content compatible with the Esri FMV Add-In, PAR’s GV3.0 viewer and other widely-adopted mission planning and exploitation ISR software applications from defense contractors.

Remote GeoSystems is already working with some of the biggest manufacturers of high-end gimbal cameras for custom GPS location data integration of the IMU to get the camera target location (where the cameras are pointing) in addition to the current aircraft location. Our LineVision software, and other FMV applications will calculate the geometry for the 4 corners of the video frame, having this capability will help you get the video footprint on the map that is often seen in the Esri FMV examples.
